Where Did All These Packages Come From?

Mark 16:15 - “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
We live in a time where anything and everything can be delivered right to your door. Clothing, video games, books, gadgets that Amazon leaves at your front door, or perhaps food that UberEats picks up so you don’t have to.
God is in the delivery business as well. Lost people don’t know they need the Lord, so He sends His gospel to them. The gospel was delivered to you in some way when you got saved. By what method did the Holy Spirit of God come knocking on your door?
If you have been saved, it is important you acknowledge that you have been added to God's delivery service. The commission exists whether you realize it or not. The Holy Spirit doesn’t use angels He uses men to work through.
Every missed opportunity to share the gospel with someone is like an undelivered package. If you are oblivious to your call to God's delivery service, you are unaware of all the undelivered packages you have accumulated. Once you have tuned yourself into or back into fellowship with the Lord, you may be surprised by what surrounds you.
The good news is it isn’t too late for all of the packages. When you prayerfully consult the Lord, He will reveal to you that He has a package for everyone you have ever met along the way. Some people you may never see again, but you still have an opportunity to deliver some of the packages.
As for the ones you can’t deliver, be of good cheer. You are not the only member of God's gospel delivery service. He has everyone try to deliver to all to make room for known errors. Even the best, at times, will fall asleep on the job, figuratively speaking.
Delivering the gospel to all the earth is an overwhelming task, but not when there are members of God's delivery service in every country and perhaps every city. Even just one city can be overwhelming. Don’t be the one that causes others to be in a constant state of overtime trying to deliver the gospel. When everyone does their part, the work gets accomplished.
When God has enough gospel deliverers in an area, He has a way of sending them to where they are needed. When people get ahold of the idea that their real job is delivering for the Lord, He has a way of relocating them. Has God ever called a dear brother or sister you know to a new delivery area with no workers? That is the call for you also because there is now one less worker in your area. Who will take on the added workload?
If you are just now seeing the packages stacked around you or have been knowingly ignoring them for years, or have been patiently delivering for a lifetime, or frantically working overtime recently as you just woke up to the task; do not allow yourself to be overwhelmed, just remember that God has a perfect plan.
To patiently deliver one gospel package at a time is that plan for you. There is much work to be done until the Lord Jesus returns. When He does, our opportunity to deliver the gospel will cease; that will be our time to rest.
If we are faithful to work when work is to be done, we will not have to feel guilty when it is the appointed time to rest.
